Zetech Sports Teams Maintain Form, Silence Opponents

Zetech Sparks warm up for a game

It was yet another fantastic sporting weekend for the Zetech family following wins by the varsity’s basketball teams during the Saturday and Sunday action.

The ladies team- Sparks- maintained formidable form as the silenced Eldonets 57-31 in a captivating game that played out in Upper Hill. On Sunday, the Sparks winning streak continued as they beat Kisumu Lady Bucks 52-32 in a heated game at the Nyayo National stadium.

On the men’s side, the Zetech Titans lived up to their name by showing strength and focus in a tight game against KDF Morans showcased at Nyayo stadium in the Sunday basketball Division two games. In the same breath, the lads maintained form to secure a 74-58 win against For Christ on the same day during the division one contest,

Commenting on the weekend performance, Zetech University Sports Coordinator Alfred Muli lauded the team’s for recording good results in the ongoing games, noting that the teams are keen on securing additional wins to collect as many points as possible,

“We are optimistic once again about this season and encouraging our sports teams to sustain the commitment and consistency they have shown for the past few months. It is a very encouraging result and we look forward to more victories in the coming tournaments,” Muli said.

Muli added that the only football action of the weekend saw the men’s football team maintain a 1-1 draw against Liberty, in an intense game played at Camp Toyoyo Sunday afternoon.

Celebrating the results, the varsity’s Head of Communication and Student Affairs Moses Maina, who attended the Sunday games, noted with delight that the university management fully supports the sports gents and ladies,

“We remain proud of our champions and the efforts they have put in to register excellent results in the different tournaments they play in and we look forward to many more impressive results.” Moses said.
